2012 Project STARS Calendar

January
1st – Contract Detail Reports (CDR’s) are mailed out from the Foundation and are available electronically upon request. STARS donors should reconcile against local database and mail any changes in matriculation or other discrepancies for correction.

February
1st – Scholarship Assignments due for Summer Semester – Please see 2012 Assignment Checklist (left) for required items.

15th – Pledge letter to the Foundation for 2012/2013 matching funds is due. Include the name of your foundation/organization and the total dollar amount of matching funds you are requesting.

March
1st – Begin purchasing scholarships with 2011/2012 pledged funds. For Assistance with your purchase, please use the 2012 Purchase Calculator. Each scholarship purchased has a $50 application fee which is not available for match. 12th grade scholarships cannot be purchased with matching funds.

April
1st – CDR’s are available electronically upon request.

30th – Deadline to purchase scholarships with 2011/2012 pledged funds.

May
15th – Scholarship Assignments due for Fall Semester – Please see 2012 Assignment Checklist (left) for required items.

June
1st – Letter of request to the Foundation for excess matching funds is due. Excess funds are matching dollars that were requested, but not used, by other Foundation donors.

30th – The Foundation re-allocates excess funds based on donor requests - if funds are available.

July
1st – CDR’s are mailed out from the Foundation and are available electronically upon request. STARS donors should reconcile against local database and mail any changes in matriculation or other discrepancies for correction. Donors are notified of legislative appropriation for Fiscal year 2012/2013.

1st – Begin purchasing scholarships with 2011/2012 excess funds.

August
1st – Foundation mails Annual Survey to Project STARS donors.

15th – Deadline to purchase scholarships with 2011/2012 excess funds.

30th – Current year scholarship prices expire. Prices cannot be released until approved by the Board. Donors will be notified in their allocation letter when the website’s price list will be updated.

September
30th – Annual Surveys are due back to the Florida Prepaid College Foundation. Please send student pictures, and or success stories to be featured in the Foundation’s Annual Report. NOTE: These surveys must be completed for all Project STARS-matched-scholarships. Subsequent year’s allocation will be withheld until the survey is received.

October
1st – CDR’s are available electronically upon request.

15th – Foundation notifies donors of 2012/2013 allocation, new contract prices for coming year and requests pledges for the following year.

November
1st – Scholarship Assignments due for Spring Semester – Please see 2012 Assignment Checklist (left) for required items.
