Q: How does the Board determine institutional eligibility?

A: Section 1009.98(3)(b), Florida Statutes, specifies that eligible out-of-state colleges and universities must be regionally-accredited, not-for-profit and confers degrees.

Q: My family has moved out-of-state. Are we still eligible to participate in the Program?

A: Once a prepaid contract is issued, the eligibility has already been established. Section 1009.98(a)1 and (b)1, Florida Statutes, further specifies that prepaid students who move out-of-state may return to a state university or public community college in Florida as in-state students for tuition purposes.
